In the very heart of revello( piedmont; north west of italy) lies “pasticceria caffetteria del viale”: a small sweet boutique, a chocolate shop, where you can taste chocolate in all its varieties… for example… cru of chocolate, delicious sprinkles (praline)and, of course, a gorgeous cup of hot chocolate for the greediest!
This pastry shop offers a wide selection of innovative and modern pastries: you may find everything you wish…delicious cakes, monoportions,miniature pastries.
Everything is made following a sophisticated and elegant handcrafted tradition,thanks to advanced techniques of production and paying attention to the search of raw materials.
The shop is run by the brothers riccardo (pastry-chef and winner of many italian and international awards) and mario(skilled barman and coffee roaster). “pasticceria caffetteria del viale” is the best way to start your day with a sweet breakfast; It’s the best place for your break in the morning, with a coffee, whose roasting, takes place in its internal lab; It’s the best place for a snack or a fresh handcrafted ice-cream.
During your pre-dinner drinks, a good selection of wines, recommended by the sommelier, will satisfy your requests. The atmosphere of the summer outdoor area and the appetizers will ehnance the flavor even more.

Depetris riccardo pastry chef and chocolatier that combines tradition and innovation!
I’m carrying on the family tradition: my parents have practiced this profession for 40 years. When I was a student I used to alternate school and work. My first experiences took place “at home” then, in other laboratories and workshops who contributed to improve my technique.

After the achievement of diploma at "hotel management school virginio donadio" in dronero (CN, italy), I moved to brescia (lombardy) for one year. Here I studied and worked by “CASTALIMENTI”. It’s a private school of high professional refinement. I had the opportunity to keep in touch with the “elite” of italian and international pastry.

It was the beginning of my personal growth ,carachterized by the attendance to many courses, to increase my abilities.

As my father, there is another person that was essential for me: He was the departed “maestro” Sergio Canepa, skilled pastry chef and chocolatier who believed in me and led me to constantly improve.

My desire of learning led me to go beyond, travelling in italy and abroad (France, Spain, Germany, United States of America). I could get closer to different tastes and cultures, even if my job is indissolubly anchored into the italian and piemontese tradition.

I entered a lot of competitions, I won awards in team and individually but I always have dreams to fulfill.

Cioccolato del Monviso is a production of Depetris Riccardo from Del Viale Pastry shop (snc di Depetris Elio &C.) headquartered in Revello. It is the result of a long project of research, growth and innovation of DEPETRIS I CICULATE’ handcrafted range of products /line. Cioccolato del Monviso is made by Depetris’ family at the feet of Monviso, also known as “Re di Pietra”, “King of stone”. Cioccolato del Monviso is a tribute to this mountain, UNESCO World heritage site and symbol of Piedmont,( the region) to which we belong.
Only in our chocolate bars you may find a peculiar and characterizing taste given by the fusion between Po Valley and the tropical atmosphere where the finest cocoa beans grow.
The “journey of Monviso” carry us to discover Arts and Flavours, always exploring new horizons.
